Website Maintenance Plans

Ongoing care for your website: updates, backups, security checks, uptime monitoring and small changes handled every month, so your site stays safe, fast and current while you run your business.

A Website Is Not a One-Time Project

Launching a website is the beginning, not the end. Behind every WordPress site are a core system, a theme and a set of plugins that receive regular updates for security fixes, compatibility and new features. Hosting environments change, browsers evolve, forms stop delivering emails, links break, certificates expire and content goes out of date. Left alone, even a well-built website gradually becomes slower, less secure and less reliable.

Most business owners do not have the time or technical background to check these things regularly, and problems usually surface at the worst moment: a hacked site discovered by a customer, a contact form that silently stopped working weeks ago, or a broken checkout during a sale. A maintenance plan replaces this uncertainty with a routine. Someone checks, updates and protects the website on a schedule, keeps backups ready, and reports what was done.

ViV Softech Solution is a website designing and digital marketing agency based in Delhi. We provide website maintenance plans for WordPress and WooCommerce websites for businesses across India, whether we built the site or not. This page explains what a maintenance plan typically includes, how plan levels differ, how we handle updates safely, what is not included, how we onboard an existing website and what affects pricing. Maintenance reduces risk significantly, but no provider can guarantee that a website will never have a problem; what we can promise is prompt attention and a reliable recovery path.

What a Maintenance Plan Covers

Safe Updates

WordPress core, theme and plugin updates applied carefully, with checks before and after.

Regular Backups

Scheduled backups of files and database stored off-site, with tested restoration.

Security Monitoring

Malware scanning, login protection and alerts for suspicious changes.

Uptime and Speed Checks

Monitoring for downtime and periodic performance reviews.

Small Content Changes

A set amount of time each month for text, image and minor layout updates.

Monthly Reports

A plain-language summary of updates, backups, issues found and recommendations.

Why Regular Maintenance Matters

Security

Outdated plugins and themes are one of the most common ways websites are compromised. Applying security updates promptly closes known vulnerabilities before automated attacks exploit them.

Reliability

Regular checks catch problems such as failed form emails, expired SSL certificates or broken pages before customers notice.

Performance

Databases grow, caches misbehave and new plugins add weight. Periodic optimisation keeps pages quick.

Recovery readiness

Backups only help if they exist, are recent and can actually be restored. Maintenance makes sure they are.

Compatibility

Hosting providers upgrade PHP and server software. Maintenance keeps your site compatible so upgrades do not cause sudden breakage.

Peace of mind

You know who to call, what has been done and what condition your website is in.

How We Handle Updates Safely

Clicking update on everything at once is how many websites break. Our process is more careful:

  1. Back up first: a fresh backup is taken before any update.
  2. Review changelogs: major updates are checked for known issues or breaking changes.
  3. Test on staging where appropriate: for business and e-commerce plans, significant updates are tested on a copy of the site first.
  4. Update in sequence: updates are applied in a sensible order rather than all together.
  5. Check key pages and functions: home page, forms, menus, checkout and other critical features are tested after updates.
  6. Roll back if needed: if an update causes problems that cannot be fixed quickly, we restore the previous version and investigate.
  7. Record changes: every update is logged in your monthly report.

What Is Not Included

Clear boundaries prevent misunderstandings. Maintenance plans typically do not include:

  • New page designs, redesigns or major new features, which are quoted separately
  • Content writing, SEO campaigns or marketing services, which are separate services
  • Premium plugin or theme licence renewals, which are paid by you to the vendors
  • Hosting and domain fees, unless arranged separately
  • Fixing problems caused by changes made by other parties without coordination
  • Unused monthly change time carried forward indefinitely, unless agreed

If an issue falls outside the plan, we tell you before doing extra work and provide an estimate.

Taking Over Maintenance of an Existing Website

Many clients come to us with websites built by someone else. Before starting a plan, we carry out an onboarding review:

  • Full backup of files and database
  • Inventory of WordPress version, theme, plugins and their update status
  • Check for abandoned or insecure plugins and unused themes
  • Security scan and review of admin users
  • Hosting environment, PHP version and SSL check
  • Form, email and key functionality tests
  • Basic speed assessment

We share findings in plain language. If the site needs significant fixes before it can be maintained safely, such as replacing an abandoned plugin or cleaning malware, we quote that work separately first. See malware cleanup and recovery if your site is already compromised.

Response Times and Communication

Each plan includes defined response times for routine requests and urgent issues, such as the website being down or showing security warnings. You receive a clear way to raise requests, and we confirm when work is complete. Monthly reports summarise updates applied, backups taken, uptime, security findings and recommendations. We aim to explain technical matters in plain language so you can make informed decisions about your website.

What Affects Pricing

  • Website size and complexity: number of pages, plugins and custom features.
  • E-commerce or membership functions: which need more careful testing.
  • Update and backup frequency.
  • Monthly change time included.
  • Response time commitments.
  • Condition of the site at onboarding.
  • Tools and licences used for backups, security and monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We start with an onboarding review to understand the site’s condition and any fixes needed.

Plans are agreed with clear terms, including notice periods. We confirm these in writing before starting.

Updates carry some risk, which is why we back up first, test where appropriate, check key functions and roll back if needed.

Hosting is usually separate, but we can advise on or arrange suitable hosting.

No one can guarantee that. Maintenance greatly reduces risk, and backups and monitoring make recovery faster if something happens.

Larger changes such as new pages or features are quoted separately, and we confirm before starting.
