iOS App Development

Polished iPhone and iPad apps that meet Apple’s standards for design, privacy and quality, built around your customers and business goals.

Why Build for iPhone

iPhone users represent a smaller share of smartphone owners in India than Android users, but they are an important audience for many businesses, particularly in premium retail, hospitality, professional services, healthcare, education, real estate and international markets. Businesses selling to customers abroad, in countries where iPhones are widely used, often need an iOS app as much as an Android one. iPhone users also tend to expect a high standard of design and polish, and Apple applies a detailed review process to every app before it can appear on the App Store.

Developing for iOS therefore has its own requirements. Apps must follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to feel natural on iPhone and iPad, meet App Store Review Guidelines on functionality, content, payments and privacy, provide accurate privacy information and request user permission before tracking. They must also keep pace with yearly iOS releases and new device sizes. Apps that ignore these expectations are often rejected during review, receive poor ratings, or feel out of place next to well-designed apps on the user’s home screen.

ViV Softech Solution is a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, and we develop iOS apps for businesses across India as part of our mobile app development services. This page explains how we plan, design, build, test and publish native iPhone and iPad apps. For Android, see Android app development; for one app across both platforms from a shared codebase, see cross-platform app development.

Planning an App Users Will Keep

Before design or development, we work with you to define what the app must achieve, whether that is easier booking, faster reordering, secure account access, member services, learning content or tools for your own staff. We identify the people who will use it and map their main journeys from opening the app to completing a task. Each journey reveals the screens, features and data required, along with the systems the app must connect to, such as your website, CRM, booking system, payment provider or inventory.

We also consider whether the app should support iPad as well as iPhone, whether features such as Face ID, Apple Pay, Sign in with Apple, widgets or Apple Watch support add real value, and how the app fits with any Android version you plan. Features are prioritised into a focused first release and later phases, and documented in a written scope with assumptions and exclusions, a timeline and a quote. Clear scope at the start is the single most effective way to keep app projects on budget.

Design That Feels at Home on iPhone

iPhone users quickly notice when an app does not behave like other apps on their device. We design with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines in mind: standard navigation patterns such as tab bars and navigation stacks, familiar gestures like swiping back, system fonts and controls where appropriate, support for different screen sizes including notches and the Dynamic Island area, and layouts that adapt to light and dark mode. Within these conventions, we apply your brand identity through colour, typography, imagery and tone, so the app is distinctive without being confusing. Accessibility is built in rather than added later: support for Dynamic Type so users can enlarge text, VoiceOver labels for screen reader users, sufficient colour contrast and comfortable touch targets. Apple pays attention to these qualities during review, and they make the app easier for every user. We begin with wireframes and a clickable prototype of the main journeys, letting you and a few representative users try the flow on a real iPhone before visual design and development begin, when changes are quickest and least expensive. Final designs are prepared for every screen size the app will support, with clear specifications for development.

How We Build iOS Apps

Swift and SwiftUI

We develop native apps in Swift, Apple’s modern programming language, using SwiftUI and UIKit as appropriate in Xcode.

Maintainable structure

Well-organised code and automated checks make future updates safer and less costly.

Device capabilities

Camera, location, notifications, biometrics, maps and file handling, used only when needed and with clear explanations to users.

Offline support

Local storage and syncing where users need access without a reliable connection.

Payments done correctly

Apple has specific rules on when in-app purchases must be used and when external payment providers are allowed. We design payment flows that follow current guidelines.

Performance

Fast launch, smooth scrolling and efficient battery use across supported devices.

Backend and Business Integrations

Most iOS apps depend on a backend: a secure server and database holding user accounts, content, orders, bookings and messages. We build backends and web admin panels that let your team manage content, users and transactions, view reports and send notifications without developer help. If you already have an Android app or website with a backend, the iOS app can share it, keeping data consistent across all platforms.

We integrate apps with payment gateways, CRMs, booking and inventory systems, messaging services, maps, analytics and push notification services through APIs. Push notifications are planned carefully: Apple requires user permission, and notifications that are too frequent or irrelevant lead users to disable them or delete the app. See API integration and development.

Privacy and App Store Requirements

Privacy Details

Accurate App Store privacy information about data collected and how it is used.

Tracking Consent

Permission requested before any cross-app tracking, as Apple requires.

Account Deletion

In-app account deletion where accounts can be created.

Apple’s review checks that apps work as described, provide value beyond a simple website wrapper, handle data responsibly and follow content and payment rules. We address these requirements during development rather than discovering them at submission. We also support your privacy policy and consent features in line with India’s data protection requirements, while recommending legal advice for your specific obligations.

Testing, Submission and Release

We test on real iPhones and simulators covering the screen sizes and iOS versions you choose to support, checking functionality, layouts, performance, network interruptions, notifications, permissions, accessibility features and payments in test environments. Through TestFlight, Apple’s beta testing service, you and selected users can install pre-release versions and send feedback before the public launch. For submission, the app is published under your own Apple Developer Program account in your business name, so you keep full control of the listing. Organisations usually need to enrol with valid business details, which can take some time, so we recommend starting enrolment early. We prepare the App Store listing with a clear name, subtitle, description, keywords, screenshots for required device sizes and an optional preview video, complete the privacy and age rating questions, and submit for review. Apple decides on approval and sometimes asks for changes or clarifications; we respond and resubmit as needed, so launch dates should allow some flexibility. Releases can be phased to a growing share of users for major updates. After launch, promotion can be supported through app promotion campaigns and social media.

Keeping Your App Current

Apple releases a major iOS version every year, introduces new devices and periodically updates the minimum development tools required for submissions. Apps that are not updated can develop layout or functional problems and eventually face difficulty publishing new versions. Maintenance plans cover compatibility updates, bug fixes, dependency and security updates, monitoring of crashes and performance, and small improvements.

We review App Store ratings, reviews and analytics to understand how users engage with the app and where they struggle, and use this to plan future releases. Responding politely to reviews also shows potential users that the app is actively supported. You receive source code, documentation and account access as agreed in your contract, so you are free to continue development with any team in future.
