Logo Design

An original, memorable logo designed around your business, your customers and the places your brand will appear, delivered in every format you need.

The Face of Your Business

Your logo appears everywhere your business does: on your shop sign, website, visiting cards, invoices, packaging, vehicles, uniforms, social media profiles, WhatsApp display picture, Google Business Profile and advertisements. It is often the first thing a potential customer sees, and over time it becomes the symbol people associate with your service, quality and reputation. A logo will not make a business successful on its own, but a weak one can make a capable business look amateur, forgettable or similar to its competitors, while a well-designed logo helps a business look established, trustworthy and easy to recognise.

Good logo design is more than drawing an attractive symbol. It starts with understanding what your business does, who it serves, how it wants to be perceived and how it differs from others in the market. It then translates those ideas into a simple visual mark that works at every size, in colour and in black and white, on screens and in print. Many logos fail because they are too detailed to read on a phone screen, rely on effects that cannot be printed or embroidered, copy popular trends that date quickly, or closely resemble another company’s mark.

ViV Softech Solution is a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, and we design logos for businesses across India as part of our brand identity design services. This page explains our logo design process, the types of logos we create, what makes a logo work in practice, how we handle originality and trademarks, what files you receive and what affects cost. Defining your wider brand positioning is covered by our brand strategy and positioning service.

Starting With Your Business, Not Our Taste

Every logo project begins with discovery. We ask about your business: what you offer, how long you have operated, where you serve customers, and what you want to be known for. We ask about your customers: who they are, what they value, and how they choose between providers. We ask about your competitors and how you differ from them, and about the personality you want your brand to express, for example trustworthy and established, friendly and approachable, modern and innovative, or premium and refined.

We also discuss practical needs. Where will the logo be used most: signage, packaging, a mobile app icon, embroidery on uniforms, or primarily digital channels? Does your business name need to be legible from a distance? Will you expand into new services or regions that the logo should not restrict? Are there colours, symbols or styles you love or dislike, or cultural and religious associations to consider? These answers become a short design brief that we share with you before design starts, so the concepts are judged against agreed goals rather than personal taste alone.

Types of Logos We Design

Wordmarks

The business name set in distinctive, often customised lettering. Ideal when the name itself is short, memorable and worth reinforcing.

Lettermarks

Initials or a monogram, useful for long names or businesses already known by their initials.

Symbols and icons

A pictorial or abstract mark representing the brand, usually paired with the name until the symbol becomes recognisable on its own.

Combination marks

A symbol and wordmark designed to work together and separately, the most flexible option for most businesses.

Emblems

The name contained within a shape or badge, popular for schools, institutions, cafes and heritage-style brands.

Bilingual logos

Marks combining English with Hindi or another regional script, balanced so both read clearly.

We recommend the type that suits your name, audience and uses, and may explore more than one type across the initial concepts so you can compare.

What Makes a Logo Work

Successful logos share a few practical qualities. They are simple enough to be recognised in a fraction of a second and remembered afterwards; complex illustrations, many colours and fine details tend to blur at small sizes and are hard to reproduce. They are scalable, remaining clear as a tiny favicon in a browser tab, a social media profile picture, a stamp on an invoice and a large hoarding. They are versatile, working in full colour, in a single colour, in reverse on dark backgrounds and in black and white for newspaper advertisements, photocopies and engraving. They are appropriate, signalling the right qualities for the industry and audience: what suits a children’s play school would look wrong for a law firm. They are distinctive, standing apart from competitors rather than following the same visual clichés used across an industry, such as generic house roofs for every real estate business or globes for every export company. Finally, they are durable, avoiding fashionable effects that date quickly, so the logo can serve the business for many years. We test every concept against these qualities by showing it at different sizes, in single colour and on real-world mockups such as signage, visiting cards, a website header and a social media profile.

From Sketch to Final Logo

After research, our designers explore many rough ideas in sketches and quick digital drafts, then develop the strongest into a small number of distinct concepts. Each concept is presented with a short explanation of the idea behind it and shown in context, so you can judge how it would look on your sign, website and stationery rather than as an isolated shape on a white page. We encourage you to share concepts with a few trusted people, but to judge them against the brief and your customers rather than personal preferences alone.

Once you choose a direction, we refine it through an agreed number of revision rounds, adjusting proportions, letter spacing, weight, colour and details. We then prepare the final versions: primary logo, alternative layouts such as horizontal and stacked, a simplified icon for small spaces, and single-colour and reverse versions. Every version is drawn as clean vector artwork, so it can be enlarged without losing quality and reproduced accurately by printers, sign makers and embroidery vendors.

Originality and Trademarks

Created From Scratch

No templates, stock symbols or copied artwork.

Similarity Checks

Basic visual searches to spot obvious resemblance to existing marks.

Trademark Advice

We recommend a professional trademark search and registration.

Every logo we design is created specifically for your business. We do not resell template logos or use stock icons as the main mark, because they cannot be protected and may appear on other companies’ materials. We carry out basic visual checks during design to reduce the risk of obvious resemblance to well-known marks. However, these checks are not a legal clearance. Before investing heavily in signage and printing, we recommend a trademark search and application through a trademark attorney or agent, who can check the trademark register in the relevant classes. On final payment, ownership of the final artwork is transferred to you as agreed in writing, so you can register and use it freely.

Files and Guidance You Receive

Vector files

AI, EPS, SVG and PDF files for printers, sign makers and designers, scalable to any size.

Image files

PNG files with transparent backgrounds and JPG files in several sizes for websites, documents and presentations.

Digital set

Correctly sized files for social media profiles, WhatsApp, Google Business Profile, email signatures and a website favicon.

Files are supplied in full colour, single colour, black and white and reverse versions. You also receive a short logo usage sheet listing your colour codes for print (CMYK and Pantone references where useful) and screen (RGB and HEX), your fonts, minimum sizes, clear space around the logo and examples of incorrect use, such as stretching, recolouring or adding effects. This helps everyone who works with your brand, from printers to social media managers, use the logo consistently. For a complete set of brand rules across your website and marketing, see style guides and design systems.

Redesigning an Existing Logo

Many established businesses have logos created years ago that no longer suit how they operate: perhaps designed for print only, too detailed for mobile screens, built from low-resolution files with no vector original, or simply out of step with how the business has grown. A redesign does not always mean starting over. Customers may already recognise your colours, symbol or name style, and that recognition has value. We assess which elements carry recognition and are worth keeping, and which cause practical problems. The result might be a careful modernisation, such as cleaner lines, better proportions and a simplified icon, or a more substantial change when the business has repositioned. We also help plan the rollout so signage, stationery, website, social profiles and listings are updated in a sensible order and customers are not confused by two logos for long. When only the files are the problem, we can redraw an existing logo as clean vector artwork without changing its design. Broader brand updates are covered by brand identity refresh within our brand identity design services.
