Reputation Audit

Find out exactly what customers, partners and employees see when they look up your business online, and get a clear plan to strengthen it.

Your Reputation Is What People Find When They Search

Before buying, partnering, investing or accepting a job offer, people search for the business and often its founders. What they find shapes their decision: the first page of Google results, the star rating and recent reviews on Google and industry platforms, directory listings, social media profiles, news articles, forum discussions, employee review sites and even complaint portals. Many business owners have never systematically examined this picture. They may not realise that an old negative article ranks for their brand name, that a complaint thread appears on page one, that their Google rating is lower than competitors’, that outdated contact details are confusing customers, or that they have almost no positive content beyond their own website.

A reputation audit provides a clear, objective assessment of your online reputation as it stands today. It reviews what appears when people search for your brand, products, key people and locations; analyses reviews and ratings across relevant platforms; checks listings and profiles for accuracy; examines social and news mentions; compares your reputation with competitors; and identifies risks and opportunities. The result is a prioritised action plan, so you invest effort where it will make the most difference.

ViV Softech Solution is a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, and we conduct reputation audits for businesses and professionals across India as part of our brand reputation services. Ongoing improvement work is covered by reputation improvement strategy, review growth by Google review acquisition strategy, and listing accuracy by business directory listings.

What the Audit Examines

Reviews and Ratings

Google and industry review platforms.

Listings

Accuracy across directories and maps.

Social Presence

Profiles, activity and public comments.

News and Mentions

Articles, forums and complaint sites.

Competitor Comparison

How you compare with key rivals.

Search Results and Brand Perception

We analyse the first pages of Google results for your brand name, common variations and misspellings, brand plus words such as reviews, complaints or fraud, key products or services, founders and senior leaders, and important locations. Each result is categorised as owned, such as your website and profiles; earned, such as news and reviews; or third-party, and assessed as positive, neutral or negative.

We also review autocomplete suggestions, People Also Ask questions, knowledge panels, image results and video results, which all influence first impressions. This reveals whether people searching for you see a confident, accurate, positive picture or a confusing mixture with risks that need attention.

Reviews, Sentiment and Root Causes

Reviews are often the most influential part of a business’s online reputation, so the audit examines them closely. We collect reviews from the platforms most relevant to your industry, such as Google, Justdial, Practo, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Zomato, Glassdoor, AmbitionBox, marketplace seller ratings or app store reviews, and analyse average ratings, review volume, recency, distribution of star ratings and response rates. Beyond the numbers, we read the content of reviews to identify recurring themes: what customers consistently praise, such as staff friendliness, quality or speed, and what they repeatedly criticise, such as delays, billing confusion, poor communication, rude staff or after-sales problems. These themes often point to operational root causes that no amount of marketing can fix, and addressing them is usually the most powerful way to improve reputation over time. We assess how the business responds to reviews, looking at tone, speed, consistency and whether responses resolve issues or escalate them. Employee review platforms are reviewed separately, because employer reputation affects recruitment and can also influence customer perception. We check for reviews that may violate platform policies, such as spam, conflicts of interest, hate speech or reviews about the wrong business, and note those that may be eligible for reporting through official channels, while being clear that genuine negative reviews cannot simply be removed. Sentiment across social media and forums is sampled to understand wider conversation. All findings are presented with evidence, so you can see exactly what customers are saying and why it matters.

Risks and Opportunities We Identify

Negative content

Articles or posts ranking for your name.

Rating gaps

Lower ratings than competitors.

Inaccurate listings

Wrong details confusing customers.

Impersonation

Fake profiles or look-alike accounts.

Thin positive presence

Too little owned or earned content.

Unanswered feedback

Reviews and questions left without replies.

Each risk is rated by severity and visibility, and each opportunity by potential impact, forming the basis of the action plan.

A Clear, Prioritised Action Plan

The audit concludes with practical recommendations grouped into quick wins, such as claiming profiles, correcting listings and responding to unanswered reviews; operational improvements, such as fixing recurring service issues; and longer-term reputation building, such as earning genuine reviews, publishing helpful content and building positive press coverage.

We are honest about what can and cannot be changed: legitimate negative content generally cannot be erased, but its visibility can be balanced over time by strengthening accurate, positive content. We never recommend fake reviews or deceptive tactics. Content and PR efforts can be supported by digital PR strategy.
