Google Ads Training

Practical training that helps your team plan, run and improve Google Ads campaigns confidently, without wasting budget on avoidable mistakes.

Learning Google Ads the Right Way

Google Ads can bring customers quickly, but it can also spend money quickly. Many businesses start campaigns themselves using default settings and automated suggestions, only to find budget going to irrelevant searches, clicks that never convert, locations they do not serve or placements they never intended. Others hand campaigns to an agency but cannot judge whether the work is good, because the terminology and reports are unfamiliar. In both situations, understanding how Google Ads works makes a significant difference to results and to confidence.

Google Ads has also changed considerably. Automation now drives much of bidding, targeting and ad assembly, through features such as Smart Bidding, broad match combined with automated bidding, responsive search ads and Performance Max campaigns. These tools can be powerful, but they depend on accurate conversion tracking, sensible structure, good inputs and careful oversight. Training must therefore cover both fundamentals and how to work with automation responsibly, rather than outdated tactics or blind trust in recommendations.

ViV Softech Solution is a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, and we provide Google Ads training for businesses, marketing teams and professionals across India as part of our digital marketing training services. Training is delivered by people who manage live campaigns, so examples reflect current practice. If you prefer us to run your campaigns, see our Google Ads management services.

Who the Training Is For

Business owners who run their own campaigns or want to understand what their agency is doing. In-house marketers taking on paid search responsibilities or managing larger budgets. Marketing managers who need to set goals, approve budgets and evaluate performance. Sales and leadership teams who want to connect advertising to lead quality and revenue.

Junior specialists and agency staff who need structured, practical learning beyond certification material. We assess participants’ current knowledge and goals beforehand, then tailor content and depth. Mixed groups can include role-specific segments, so managers focus on strategy and reporting while hands-on users go deeper into setup and optimisation.

Topics We Cover

How Google Ads works

Auctions, Quality Score, ad rank, costs and how Google decides which ads to show.

Campaign types

Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Display, YouTube and app campaigns, and when to use each.

Keyword strategy

Research, intent, match types, negative keywords and search term review.

Ads and assets

Responsive search ads, headlines, descriptions, sitelinks, calls and images.

Measurement

Optimisation

Bidding strategies, budgets, landing pages, testing and reporting.

We also cover account settings that commonly waste money, such as location targeting options, network settings, automatically applied recommendations and auto-generated assets, so participants know what to check and when to override defaults.

Practical, Account-Based Learning

Google Ads skills develop best through practice. Wherever possible, training uses your own Google Ads account, with appropriate access, so participants learn on real data and leave with concrete improvements. Exercises may include reviewing the search terms report to identify irrelevant queries and adding negative keywords; restructuring a campaign so each service has relevant ads and landing pages; writing responsive search ad headlines and descriptions for a specific service; checking location, schedule and device settings against your business reality; verifying that conversion tracking records forms, calls and purchases correctly; and analysing which campaigns deliver leads or sales at an acceptable cost. For accounts using Performance Max, we explain how asset groups, audience signals, product feeds and brand settings influence results, and how to read the available reporting. Where sharing an account is not possible, we use a demonstration environment and anonymised examples. Throughout, we explain the reasoning behind each practice, so participants can make sound decisions when Google introduces new features or recommendations. We also cover common traps, such as optimising for cheap clicks rather than conversions, accepting every automated recommendation, letting broad match run without good tracking and negatives, or judging campaigns too soon after changes. Participants learn what Google Ads cannot do as well: no one can guarantee positions, and results depend on competition, offer and landing page quality.

Connecting Ads to Business Results

Clicks and impressions are not the goal; customers are. A key part of the training teaches participants to work out what they can afford to pay for a lead or sale based on deal value, conversion rates and margins, and to use these numbers when setting budgets, bids and targets. We show how to connect campaigns to lead quality using CRM data or simple tagging, and how to import offline conversions where suitable, so bidding focuses on valuable customers.

Managers learn to read reports critically: which metrics matter, how to spot problems early, and what questions to ask agencies or team members. We provide a simple reporting template focused on spend, conversions, cost per conversion, conversion value and lead quality. See cost per lead reporting and conversion tracking and lead quality analysis.

Training Formats

On-Site Workshops

At your office in Delhi NCR or elsewhere by arrangement.

Live Online

Interactive video sessions with screen sharing.

One-to-One Coaching

Focused coaching using your own account.

Training can be delivered as an intensive workshop, a series of shorter modules over several weeks, or mentoring alongside live campaigns. Spreading learning over time lets participants apply each topic before moving on. Sessions are available in English or Hindi.

Materials and Ongoing Support

Participants receive practical materials to use after training: a campaign setup checklist, a weekly and monthly optimisation routine, a negative keyword starter list tailored to your industry, ad writing templates, a conversion tracking checklist, a glossary of Google Ads terms and a short reporting template. These help new skills turn into consistent habits. Recordings of online sessions can be provided where agreed, so new team members can learn later. Because Google Ads changes frequently, follow-up support is valuable. We offer question-and-answer sessions after training, periodic account reviews where we check the team’s work and suggest improvements, and refresher sessions when significant platform changes occur. Some organisations combine training with a period of supported management, where we run campaigns alongside the team and gradually hand over responsibility as skills grow. Others prefer to keep us as advisers while managing day-to-day changes themselves. Whatever the arrangement, the goal is a team that understands its campaigns, makes informed decisions and spends budget wisely. Certificates of participation can be provided, though these are not official Google certifications; we can point participants to Google’s free official learning resources and certification exams for formal credentials. See Google Ads account setup and audit.
