We confirm scope and price in writing. The main factors are:
- Number of locations and businesses.
- Number of directories chosen.
- Cleanup of old and duplicate listings.
- Verification effort such as calls or postcards.
- Ongoing checks.
Paid placements, if you choose any, are paid to the directory and are separate from our fee. Most useful listings are free. A single-location business is a modest project, while multi-branch businesses with legacy listings need more time.
Tell us about your business and locations, and we will reply with a plan and a quote.
Industry-specific directories often outperform general ones. A dentist benefits from a recognised healthcare listing, a builder from a trade or construction portal, a restaurant from food and dining platforms and a software company from business software directories. These sites attract people who are already looking for your kind of service, so even a few well-chosen listings can be more valuable than dozens of general ones. We research which ones are active in your sector and market.
Content on each listing matters. Rather than pasting the same description everywhere, we adapt it slightly to fit each site’s format and audience while keeping the key facts identical. We use the same logo and brand name, and we make sure categories, services and keywords are accurate and not exaggerated. Unique wording also avoids the appearance of copy-and-paste spam.
Reviews and ratings appear on many directories. We do not write or buy reviews. We help you understand which platforms collect reviews, how to respond politely to feedback and how to invite real customers to leave honest comments where the platform allows it. A listing with genuine reviews and active replies looks more credible than a silent one.
Privacy is part of the job. Directories publish your phone number and address, so we confirm with you which details may be public. For home-based and service-area businesses, we discuss hiding the address where the platform permits, and using a business number and email instead of personal ones. This protects owners while still keeping listings useful for customers.
We also plan for change. If you move, rebrand, add a branch or change your phone number, every listing needs updating. Our tracking sheet makes that practical, because it shows exactly where your information appears and who owns each account. Without it, old details linger for years and quietly confuse customers and search engines.
Aggregators and data providers also play a part. Some directories supply business data to other sites, so an error at the source can spread widely. Where relevant, we check the main data sources and correct the information at the origin, which fixes many downstream listings at once. We explain the limits of this approach honestly, since updates can take weeks to appear and some sites ignore corrections.
Reporting is straightforward. After the project, you receive the tracking sheet, the master data and a short summary of what was done, what is pending and what could not be completed. We note any listings that were refused and why, so you know the status of every one and are not left guessing.
Timing is worth planning. Listings are best created after your website and Google Business Profile are accurate, because those become the reference for all other details. Starting directories first and correcting the website later forces rework across many sites.
