Image Editing and Retouching

Retouching standards matter, both for brand integrity and for customer trust. For product images, we remove temporary imperfections such as dust, lint, fingerprints, packaging creases, stray threads and distracting reflections, and correct lighting and colour so the product appears as it really is. We do not alter product features, sizes, materials or finishes in ways that misrepresent what customers will receive, because that can lead to complaints, returns and potential issues with marketplace and consumer protection expectations. For portraits and team photos, retouching is natural: correcting lighting, removing temporary blemishes or stray hairs, softening harsh shadows and balancing skin tones, while preserving each person’s genuine features, skin texture and identity. We avoid dramatic body or face reshaping. For property, interiors and premises, we correct perspective and exposure, brighten interiors realistically and remove temporary clutter, but we do not add features that do not exist or hide permanent defects, which would mislead customers. Consistency is equally important when editing many images. We establish an editing style guide for your project covering background colour, margins, product positioning, shadow style, colour treatment, cropping ratios and file naming, then apply it across every image in a batch so the catalogue or gallery looks uniform. Batch workflows allow large volumes, such as hundreds of product images for a store launch, to be processed efficiently with quality checks at each stage. Original files are preserved untouched, and edits are made non-destructively where possible so adjustments can be revisited. Final images are exported in suitable formats, such as high-quality JPG or PNG with transparency, and web-optimised WebP versions where your platform supports them, with compression balanced for quality and speed.
