Campaign Tracking

Record clicks, visits, leads and sales from each creator’s posts with unique links and codes, while the campaign runs.

Likes Are Not Results

After paying creators, many brands can only say that posts “did well”. Nobody can say how many visitors arrived, how many enquired or which creator brought buyers. Tracking has to be planned before the posts go live, because it is hard to rebuild afterwards.

ViV Softech Solution, a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, sets this up within our influencer marketing services.

This page is about capturing results during an influencer campaign. Studying the final results is influencer performance reporting, tracking for paid ads is campaign dashboards, and analytics set-up is Google Analytics 4 setup.

What We Set Up

Unique Links

A tagged address for each creator and post.

Promo Codes

Creator-specific codes for offline and app sales.

Conversion Events

Forms, calls, chats and purchases counted.

Landing Page

A page made for the campaign.

Live Dashboard

Clicks, leads and sales by creator.

Post Evidence

Screenshots and platform stats saved.

Privacy and Honesty

Tracking respects visitor consent choices and keeps personal details out of analytics. See consent-aware analytics configuration.

Not every sale can be traced, since people see a post, then search later. We report tracked results as a minimum and label any estimate as one.

How We Track Influencer Campaigns

We begin by defining what success is and how it will be counted. Typical measures are reach and views, clicks to your site, enquiries, bookings, sales, app installs, store visits and new followers, but only one or two should be the main goal. We set the conversion events that match it, such as a submitted form, a click on the call or WhatsApp button or a completed order; see form submission tracking and WhatsApp click tracking. Next we design the tracking scheme. Each creator gets a unique link with standard campaign tags for source, medium, campaign and content, so that analytics can separate one creator and one post from another; a naming convention keeps the data tidy. We use short, clean links that creators can place in bios, descriptions and stories, and we check that the tags survive redirects. For platforms that do not allow clickable links in posts, we use promo codes tied to each creator, and a “how did you hear about us” option on forms and at checkout. For phone and walk-in sales, codes and staff prompts do the job; see call tracking integration. We build or adapt a landing page for the campaign, which repeats the creator’s message, shows the offer and has a simple path to action; see lead generation landing pages. We test every link and code on mobile and desktop, in the in-app browsers that creators’ followers use, because these often drop cookies. We set up the dashboard or report that shows, for each creator and post, the clicks, sessions, engaged sessions, conversions, revenue and cost, together with the platform’s own numbers, such as views and saves, collected from screenshots or analytics the creator shares; see campaign dashboards. We tell creators in the brief exactly which link or code to use and what screenshots to send, and when; see sponsored content briefs. While the campaign runs, we check the numbers daily at first, to catch broken links, wrong tags and unexpected spikes, including suspicious traffic that suggests fake clicks. We note the time of each post, so that bumps in traffic can be matched to the right creator. We also watch for spillover, such as an increase in direct visits and searches for your brand name after posts, which we report as an indication. After the campaign, we leave tracking running for a set period, since interest continues for days after a post. We assemble a record of the tracked results and the evidence that supports them, ready for the final analysis; see influencer performance reporting. We cannot track people who block cookies, sales made after a long delay or word of mouth, and creators’ own statistics depend on what they share, but planned tracking turns “it went well” into figures you can use for the next campaign.
