We begin with where the animations will appear. A corporate YouTube series, a webinar recording, a course, a product video library, a podcast with video and short vertical clips all need different treatment. We ask about your audience, your usual video length, the tone of your brand and what you want viewers to do at the end. We gather brand assets: logo files, colour codes, fonts, taglines, icons and any existing animation; see brand guidelines. If the logo only exists as an image, we ask for a vector version or recreate it. We then write a short creative brief covering duration, style, mood, music direction, text, and the exact words for the outro: for example a website, phone number, handle, offer or the next video. Next we develop a storyboard of three or four frames for each piece and a style frame showing colours, typography and movement style, such as smooth and elegant, bold and energetic, playful or minimal. After approval, we animate. For the intro we design a simple sequence that reveals the logo or name with a movement that fits the brand, such as shapes that assemble, a line that draws, a clean slide or a soft glow, with timing that is brisk, usually three to six seconds. For the outro we build a layout that holds longer, usually ten to twenty seconds, with space for end-screen elements on the video platform, such as subscribe buttons and suggested videos, and large clear text for the call to action. We keep animation principles in mind: easing, anticipation and clean hierarchy, so the motion looks professional and not busy. We add sound: a short music sting or a quiet bed, with effects timed to movement, using music from licensed libraries or composed for you. We mix the levels so the voice-over at the start is never drowned. We test the pieces on real videos at different volumes and on phone screens. We then export in the right formats for each platform and ratio, as video files with and without sound, plus transparent versions where useful. For repeated use we build editable templates in common editing tools, so your team can change the call to action, link or episode title without re-rendering from scratch, and we write a short guide. We can also make seasonal variations, such as festive versions, or versions for different series. We recommend using one intro across a series for recognition, and rotating outro messages to match each video’s goal. For vertical platforms, see video resizing for different platforms. We cannot guarantee that branded bookends will increase retention, because content quality matters most, and heavy animation can feel dated as styles change, but a short consistent opener and clear closing make your videos look finished and easier to act on.
