Domain Renewal Coordination

Never lose your website or email because a domain quietly expired. We track dates, ownership and payment for you.

An Expired Domain Takes Everything With It

When a domain lapses, the website goes dark, email bounces and, after a grace period, someone else may buy the name. Renewal notices often go to an old employee, a former developer or a spam folder, so the lapse is usually discovered by a customer.

ViV Softech Solution, a website designing and digital marketing agency in Delhi, prevents this within our domain services.

This page is about keeping domains renewed. First-time buying is domain registration assistance, moving between registrars is domain transfers, and pointing a domain is domain DNS configuration.

You Stay the Owner

Your domain should be registered in your business name with your email as the registrant. We advise this clearly and never register your domain in our own name.

We do not hold registrar passwords longer than needed and recommend delegated access. Renewal fees go to the registrar at their price, with no hidden mark-up unless agreed in writing.

How We Coordinate Domain Renewals

We begin by finding every domain connected to your business, because many owners have forgotten some. We search your records, ask staff, check email and DNS, and look at past campaigns and microsites. For each domain we record the registrar, the account holder, the registrant name and email, the expiry date, the nameservers, the auto-renew status and what the domain is used for: website, email, redirect or defence. Then we check who actually controls each account. Common problems are accounts under a former employee’s email, domains registered by a previous agency, registrar logins nobody remembers and contact emails that no longer exist. We help you recover or transfer control through the registrar’s proper process; see domain transfers. We then build a simple renewal register with each domain, date, cost, owner and purpose, and share it with you in a spreadsheet or document. We set several reminders for each date, typically ninety, sixty, thirty and ten days before expiry, sent to two people so that one absence does not cause a miss. Next we review payment. Auto-renew helps only if the card is valid and the registrar can charge it, so we check expiry dates on cards and the billing contact. For businesses that pay by invoice, we confirm lead times so payment does not arrive after the deadline. We recommend multi-year renewals for core domains when cost allows, which reduces the number of deadlines. We also review the domains you can let go. Unused defensive or campaign domains may be dropped, but only after checking that nothing links to them or depends on them, because email, redirects and old printed materials may still use them; see domain redirects. Security forms part of renewal: we check that registrar accounts use strong passwords and two-factor sign-in, that transfer locks are on and that recovery details are correct. About two weeks before each renewal we confirm the payment method, and afterwards we verify that the new expiry date shows in the registrar and WHOIS record, and that the website, email and certificates still work; see SSL certificate installation. If a domain has already expired, we explain the grace and redemption periods, which differ by extension and registrar, along with their higher fees, and act fast. We report once a year, or when asked, with the register, changes and recommendations, and we connect with your hosting renewals through website maintenance plans. We cannot recover a domain that another buyer has already registered after it dropped, and we cannot waive registrar fees, but a maintained register makes accidental expiry almost impossible.
