Custom projects are quoted after the requirements are understood. The main factors are:
- Scope and number of features.
- Complexity of business rules and data.
- Integrations with other systems.
- Need for an admin or editing interface.
- Security and compliance requirements.
- Testing depth, documentation and support level.
Custom-coded development takes more design and engineering time than configuring a ready-made theme, so it is priced by the work involved. A small custom site with a few unique templates is quite different from a web application with user accounts, dashboards, payment flows and connections to other systems. We estimate each piece of functionality separately, which makes it easy to see what drives the cost and to decide what to include now or later.
Before writing code we prepare a short specification that lists the pages, features, user roles, integrations and technical requirements. You approve it, and the quote is based on it. If something changes along the way, we record the change, tell you how it affects time and cost and continue only with your agreement. This keeps the project predictable for both sides.
Custom code also has a lifetime cost. It must be hosted, updated for new software versions, secured and sometimes extended as your business changes. We write clean, documented code and provide handover notes, so another developer can maintain it if needed. You own the work we deliver, and we explain the maintenance options in plain terms, including what the site would need if you decided to manage it internally.
If you are unsure whether you need a custom build at all, tell us what you want the site to do. Where a well-supported platform can meet the need at a lower cost, we say so, and we suggest custom coding only where it gives a clear benefit in speed, flexibility, security or control.
Testing is part of every custom build. We test features as we complete them, run a full check on a staging copy before launch and fix defects found during the agreed warranty period at no extra charge. Security is considered from the start: inputs are validated, access is limited by role and sensitive data is handled with care.
Share your idea in as much detail as you can, including screens you have sketched, systems it must connect to and the number of users you expect, and we will respond with questions, a plan and a quote.
Version control and staging are standard. Every change is recorded, and new work is reviewed on a private copy before reaching the live site. This makes it easy to see who changed what and to return to an earlier version if needed.
